The Life Skills Education and Academic Program (LEAP)
The Life Skills Education and Academic Program (LEAP) class in the Early Childhood Program is a highly-structured program that addresses the needs of students with significant delays that require more than 50% of time in special education to address their needs. LEAP is designed to provide individualized instructional programs that emphasize four instructional areas: community access skills, social and communication skills, independence and self-care skills, and functional academic readiness skills.
